Click on the "Start' button and watch the text scroll by in a typewriter fashion. The purpose of this javascript applet is to enhance web pages with a catchy effect. The text gets typed one letter at a time, creating a classical effect, reminiscent of those often used in movies or video games. You can accelerate or decelerate the typing dynamically with the "slower" and "faster" button. Stopping the applet will reset all the variables (and stop the typing obviously). The applet has been tested with Netscape Navigator 3.0 and 4.0, as well as Internet Explorer 3.0 and Navigator Gold for the Mac, and proved to work properly. However, if you find it to behave erratically, please email me with a description of the problem. If the text gets mixed up, you might want to set another value for the delay between sentences. Anyway, enjoy and feel free to use the code.
